In-Person Workshops
The Centre of Excellence in-person workshops combine theoretical content with hands-on skills stations, providing the learner with an opportunity to translate new pediatric knowledge into practice.
The in-person workshops will provide frontline staff with the following:
- Hands-on practice using pediatric-size training mannikins, to build knowledge and skills for pediatric care.
- Current pediatric best practices, and helpful tricks and tips.
- An open learning environment with opportunities to ask questions, connect with other community providers, and share experiences.
- An engaging and wholesome learning experience. These competency-based workshops will prepare health care providers with the knowledge and skills required to care for children in the community.
To improve access to in-person workshops, Kids Come First is pleased to announce that the CHEO Nurse Educator, will be travelling throughout the Eastern Ontario region; making it easier for frontline staff to attend these in-person workshops.
Four locations across the region include Ottawa (CHEO), Cornwall, Kanata, and Pembroke.
